Hello!
CH 131 a memoir by Stephen Tull is set to be released in November 2026.
The new millennium was going to change everything . . .
Stephen Tull believed this as he flew towards Amsterdam. He traveled alone in 1999 with less optimism surrounding the changes taking place in Silicon Valley. At twenty-one years old, he was right about a change taking place, but just not in the way he imagined.
The memories of this three-month journey through Europe are vivid. The red-and-white album cover of Giant Steps illuminated by a lone light source upon an empty stage. A vivacious young west-German woman leading her friends to a discotheque. An opera-loving wretch. Dutch Draft horses of enormous girth. A sturdy book of CDs and three portable music players. The undulating rooftops of Bern from above. A nondescript door labeled CH 131.
Within this tangle of images is the unexpected story of Stephen’s first experience with psychosis, the community that stepped up for him, and his road to recovery. A meandering journey through Europe and through an introspective, pattern-seeking mind, CH 131 is a memoir about perception, self-exploration, and the connections that save us all.
